There are so many fantastic photographers out there and deciding who to photograph your family at what can be both the most precious time of your lives with a baby and also when you are at your most vulnerable after having just given birth is a pretty big deal. It is a big decision, not only are you are making a financial outlay but you are trusting a photographer with your families very first and ongoing memories. 

The top priority of every session is the safety and comfort of your baby. Your photographer is fully trained in safe newborn posing, paediatric first aid and is fully insured.  Ongoing learning and development is vitally important to us, we are members of the Independent Professional Photographers Network (IPPN)and have won multiple prizes with the Guild of Photographers and British Association of Newborn Photographers (BANPAS). In an attempt to give something back to the community and utilise these skills your photographer is also a volunteer photographer and retoucher for a charity called Remember My Baby who offer services to families who lose their babies before, during or shortly after birth.

We like to make life as easy as possible for clients as you have your hands plenty full with your tiny people so we make sure everything is set up and ready for you. We can provide full styling and clothing for maternity sessions and make up too if you its something you would like. Likewise full baby styling is provided for newborn, family and cake smash sessions and even the cake (to your specifications) will be ready for your arrival at a cake smash session. All you need to do for each session is bring yourself and your baby.

At Bella and Duck we are very aware of how important a decision choosing a photographer is. Bella & Duck takes very limited bookings per month, newborn sessions are limited to one per day, this ensures that they are entirely baby-led and baby can feed and cuddle as they wish and the images are captured around them. Client expectations are discussed in advance of every session so that they can be met and exceeded. Clients have full access to the purpose built studio and every session is bespoke to each client and baby. Family, parent and sibling pictures are offered and encouraged as part of every session type, if not for you, for your baby, even if you aren’t feeling at your best you will be well lit and made to feel and look your best and even if you don’t want to display the images immediately put them away somewhere safe, one day your baby will thank you.

The Bella & Duck studio is a bright, modern, garden studio in Troon, it is perfectly proportioned, temperature controlled and everything is sterilised prior to each session. The main room is used for no other purpose than photographing babies and is beautiful and welcoming and fresh with refreshments and its very own w/c facility. Clients are made to feel welcome while we chat all things baby and then sit back and admire the beautiful little tiny human that they created during the session.

Because Bella & Duck focuses on babies and children we can concentrate on being the best at it. From those first newborn pictures through to a family session capturing your baby smiling, sitting, enjoying tummy time and interacting with parents through to first birthday cake smashes, Christmas mini sessions and beyond we have options available and discounts and incentives are offered to ongoing clients.

Our pricing and packages are all listed on our website, it is fully transparent and supportive of people receiving as many digital files as possible of their baby and family. We also offer the very best wall art on the market should you wish to display your images in your home, this is entirely optional though, there is no obligation but we like to ensure that should you wish to have your artwork big that you have access to the best suppliers in the industry who are only accessible by professional photographers.
